about the effort to speak with any evidence or data

I am the type of iNtuition of MBTI test. This means I prefer to follow my intuition to sensitivity. I tend to speak out with emotion. With that reason, I have been told that 'show me the specific data' from the others. But I tried to ignore the muscular language. It is true that any data or statistics is never neutral. That is the reason I do not trust them deeply. 

I am listening to the lecture about gender perspective currently. For a long time, I did not have the experience to look back on my life as a feminist. Now I reflect myself through the chance of this lecture. I am the person who did not struggle to persuade people against me. I tend to avoid them. Because it was very tied to find the data or evidence they were willing to accept. Also, I am vulnerable to face against anger. 

Today one of my colleagues asked me why we should handle the gender/women as a victim. There are many women who are perpetrators. Especially there are men or boys who got victimized under conflict like the war. She shows the examples of Rwanda many men were mass killed by genocide. She insisted we focus on victimized men not only for the women. I told her that this is the point in this issue. I agree that there are a lot of and various type of victim in all genders. So many kinds of violence should be banned. She seemed to understand my point. But I realized that I did not have any sounds-easy cases which can support my insistence. I need to practice to speak with evidence or data. Do not give up. This could be one of the advocacy of my own way.
